Ways to Stay Hopeful

Updated: Jan 4

As I open my eyes and I see the sun shine through my blinds, tilt my head to see my husband and miniature schnauzer sleeping next to me, I feel grateful. With the feelings of gratefulness comes happiness. With that happiness comes hope. My hope in the Lord. For He has given me so much, even when I barely deserve it. I count my blessings because even when I am down God is moving, working, fulfilling things that I cannot do on my own. He works so hard in our lives to be our strength when we have none left.

When I am down, I become so paralyzed in this depression that keeps me from getting things done. It is the worst place to be. Being this down is because all hope is lost. When you see what is happening to our country you begin to wonder how on earth do I fit into this mess? This pandemic has cost people their loved ones, their jobs, and their businesses. As I pick up small gigs to help my family and I stay afloat while waiting for my brand to grow-I sometimes get very weary. I wonder if I am doing the right thing at all. I wonder if I am making the best decisions for a healthy future. It gets really hard to get up in the mornings. We often think we are the only persons going through these hard times-but at this point in 2020 it is even more alarming because most people are experiencing very tough times in this crisis. That is why having the Lord as my personal Savior has honestly given me an upper hand. I have a God that fights my battles for me. I find money in my account that ended up there because He put it there. He always puts food on our table. He always supplies love and protection and an over abundance of hope. (Gelations 6:9) It is easy to become distracted by the world's lies (social media), the news outlets, twitter people (if I might add) to make you become paralyzed in fear and forget how often God has brought us out of many fires. As hard as it is-always wake up and remember how you made it through the last storm, the last ring of fire. You'll see that every fire you get through makes you stronger and more equipped for the next. When your strength weakens Jesus prevails. He is the greatest friend, teacher, healer, protector, provider, father, GOD there is. Ask Him for the truth and it will set you free.

People think believing in this faith is a religion. Jesus only wants to know us. He wants to spend time with us, He wants a relationship with us. If you want your life to grow abundantly, say these words and truly open your heart. "Thank You Jesus, for rising from the dead to give me life (John 14:6). Come into my heart by Your Holy Spirit to lead and live in me. Thank You Father that right now, I am born again (John 3:3), as a fresh, new child of God (2 Corinthians 5:17), forever set free by Your truth" (John 8:32).
